Would You Rather Teen Therapy, Family Conflict Resolution Counseling Game

Would You Rather Teen Therapy, Family Conflict Resolution Counseling Game

$3.00Price

Would You Rather? No-Cringe Edition (Teen Family Conflict) is a printable “pick A or B” conversation game that helps teens and parents understand each other without turning it into a debate.

Instead of pressure-filled “tell me how you feel” moments, everyone simply chooses an option, then uses a short follow-up prompt to keep things respectful, curious, and productive.

What’s included

  • WYR Question Cards (choose A or B)

  • Follow-Up Cards (what to do after: connection prompts + communication skill prompts)

  • Wildcards (optional rule twists for perspective-taking, pausing, and re-dos)

  • Quick-start instruction sheet with setup + simple game flow

How to play (quick overview)

  • Shuffle the WYR deck + Follow-Up deck (wildcards optional).

  • Flip 1 WYR card and everyone answers at the same time: A or B (no long speeches yet).

  • Flip 1 Follow-Up card and do what it says (20–40 seconds).

Built-in “keep it safe” rules (so it doesn’t turn into a real fight)

  • No roasting, no name-calling, no diagnosing.

  • Speak for yourself (no “you always / you never”).

  • Pass is allowed (no pressure, no punishment).

  • Pause rule: anyone can call a 60-second reset (water, breathe, reset).

Play modes (use it your way)

  • Friends Mode: light + funny, skip anything too personal.

  • Family Mode: connection + calm, use follow-ups like “Find the overlap,” “Validation line,” “Clear request.”

  • Therapy Mode: teen + therapist/group, therapist chooses the intensity and can end with a 1-minute debrief.

Why therapists and parents love it

  • Low-pressure way to open up conversations (especially with avoidant or shut-down teens)

  • Helps families practice skills like validation, clearer requests, repair, boundaries, and pause plans

  • Supports perspective-taking and “hearing the other side” without getting stuck in arguing facts

Perfect for

Family therapy, school counseling, group sessions, classroom guidance, and at-home connection time (car rides, dinners, weekend check-ins).
